Hello, folks!
The theater company I work for is about to begin it's Spring Break Camp, and the theme for our showcase is going to be "Carpe Diem". Kids are Kindergarten thru Sixth Grade, and I was hoping to get some good scenes/monologues/pieces that have to do with the theme of seizing the day...I already have some group pieces...
-Seize the Day from Newsies (This will be their big musical theater number for our Musical Theater day)
-The Little Blue Engine by Shel Silverstein (Thinking you can just ain't enough), this will be our Choral Reading piece
-Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein (Bookending the show...we will do the poem as a group piece at the beginning, and then do the chorus part for the "finale"
What I really need is small scenes/duos/monologues so that the kids each have something that is distinctly their own.
...Thoughts?
