Just did the show. Used the product you purchased and they worked great! Bought 5 cans, used 4 of them for a two dress rehearsals and four performances. All 4 still have enough left for at least one more show (the 5th is still unopened and will be kept in storage). We used them in "full wash" lighting and in a darker "special" cue with spotlight (when Link breaks Tracy out of jail). Here are photos at the end of the number "It's Hairspray."

We just did this show in the fall. Used several cans at once but had no issue with our fire system (have had in the past with a fog machine). The chemicals are very similar but I think the quantity is so much less it shouldn't be an issue. I wanted to see how much use we could get out of a single can (before ordering a supply for the show) so I sprayed an entire can in our auditorium during a rehearsal. It did quite well but still didn't cause any fire alarm issues.
Good luck!

Purchased a few of these for our upcoming performances....
Have any of you had any issues using some like this?
I really would hate to set off our fire alarm during our performances! ha!
In the past, we've had issues with some fog machines setting the alarm off. I'm not intending for them to use it a TON...but just curious!
