Has anyone done Curious Incident and expanded the cast size from the 10 that is in the script? If so, how did you without just giving kids really small parts? Thanks!

I did this 4 years ago. I vowed to have 15 I'm the cast and ended up casting 22. I used the ensemble in a lot of the scenes that needed visuals such as the speech Christopher gives at school, when he is headed to London by himself they became the train, they were the household objects, and they were the voices around the auditorium in another scene. It took some getting used to but the visual effects were stunning.

Check with the publisher, but I'm pretty sure you can expand the cast size. With over 35 characters, I'm sure you could bump it to 15 or so and still have plenty for everyone to do. Any more than that, and kids are getting small tracks to play. In my opinion, the challenge and the reward in doing this show is having actors play multiple parts.
