  • 1.  Theatre Camp Opportunities in Atlanta this Summer

    Posted 04-08-2019 15:04

    Hello,

I have an up-coming 8th grade student who will be spending the summer in Atlanta with her grandmother.  She would like to participate in theatre day camps or weekend camps for the summer. She is most interested in triple-threat camps, or musical theatre, but acting camps would also be okay.

Not living on the East Coast, I don't have a clue where to start.  Thanks for the recommendations!

Legacy Theater, I only know this because my Niece is sometimes an instructor. Although they are south of Atlanta.

Theatrical Outfit, downtown  Atlanta, also has 2 camps this summer.  Red Phoenix Theater in the Suwannee, Johns Creek area will produce two shows in a workshop format.  Their auditions were last week for Newsies but they may still take students for the other production.  Google Red Phoenix Theater online.  They do MTI Jr Productions with high production values.  Stipe Studio in Cumming also does summer productions and camps.  They seem to be gearing more toward film in their classes.  There is another Theater Musical Production camp in Johns Creek at a Methodist Church.  Email me if you need that name.  Redeemer Church in South Forsyth has a large program as well.  They just finished Newsies.
