Hello Francis -
Unfortunately, Sharkstooth scrim is really not a DYI project… There is potentially good news (perhaps)… Most companies that rent stage drapery will sell aged goods and/or companies like Rose Brand will (from time to time) sell goods that were ordered but for one reason or another, the original client declined shipment. I did notice that Stage Lighting Store was listing a 22' x 45' scrim for $2,437.50 - https://www.stagelightingstore.com/scrim-white – I never dealt with this company so check them out to see if it looks like a good deal.
Whatever you do - please make sure that you get quality Sharkstooth material. The natural cotton or light-weight cotton's are usually much too narrow (usually no more than 60" wide), extremely delicate and usually don't work for back-lit reveals (they are just too thin)…
I'd be happy to converse more and suggest suppliers just let me know…
Good Luck…
Don

Has anyone made a scrim for their stage? I was looking to make a 20'x48' scrim but I was looking for a decent supplier (less expensive) for material.
