Can any of you share ticketing programs you are using that permit check in at the door via cell phones?
We’re looking to reduce lines on the nights of the show, any positive experiences will help.

We started using Ludus this year and I have really like the company. Our ticket sales have actually increased. They have an app for scanning tickets but also have scanner guns that can be purchased. They also have a way that if you recognize the group you can just record that they have arrived rather than scanning each individual ticket. And they have great customer service. Their website is Ludus.com

We have used seatyourself.biz for a number of years, in part because a small portion of their profit is donated to EdTA.  Using a QR code scanner app you can scan the printed tickets at the door.  Their user interface is not as sleek as some of the other services I have seen, but it works well and they have always replied to my questions/problems very quickly.

I second Ludus! It is super easy to use and you can collect a lot of great data. You can scan tickets with iOS or Android.

Showtix4u.com is great for this. You don't need any extra hardware anymore. You can actually scan in your browser. I love it because my parents and volunteers can use their own phones to check in patrons. You can kind of see it in this video https://youtu.be/zYtWrtarOok.

We just started using onthestage, which is totally free to schools and offers a home site for your theatre group. I can share an e-mail to the person that I connected with and helped me set it up not just for my school but most of our theatre programs in the district as well.

We use Vendini. It's a very professional front end. We have a fully functional box office and will call and scan in tickets at the door with our iphones.

We use Vendini as well. My complaint which I did not fully realize, is that you do not get your ticket revnue until the close of the show. We have patrons who buy thir tix for our spring musical in Sept...we do not get our money until April!
