    Hi,

    I always show my students Viola Davis' monologue from Fences as a brilliant example of stakes.  Show Clip - Fences - "What About My Lif?"


    Any other online monologues from shows that are brilliant?

    Dr Jan Powell, actor and director, recommends writing your own monologue using a favorite book.  The outcome is a monologe that the students love and identify with on so many levels.  They are unique to each actor and a plus; you will not get any repeats.

    Hi Kimberly,

    I am not sure if there are any monologues directly from shows, but when I needed help I was able to find a lot of resources on a site called DramaNotebook. Here you are seen their monologues.
