  • 1.  Little Mermaid with a small cast?

    Hello colleagues:

    We have a smallish group for Little Mermaid this fall. Have any of you done it with a smaller cast? Any creative doubling ideas? I have directed it with 35 and that was more than enough. I know that MerSisters/Princesses can be doubled.

    Greetings! 

    I did it a year and a half ago with 15. My princess/mersisters were also my sea chorus in "Under the Sea" and "Kiss the Girl". I doubled sea captain as chef. I did "Poor Unfortunate Souls" with just flotsam and jetsam and sea witch, etc. The show was a huge success and the kids had a lot of fun. Everyone felt like they had a featured role. Break a leg!
