Hi!

We are in the market for new stage drapery- travelers, legs, grand drape, valance, teasers...

Does anyone know an approximate cost for a stage that's roughly 40' wide, 30' deep, and 18' proscenium? (My principal needs it for a budgetary request...)

Call Rose Brands and ask for a quote. They are great to work with and delivery quality work. We've used them for two grand curtains, scim, and cyc.

Theresa, If you have counterweight lines, you also might need to get a quote from a rigging company to hang the drapes. Insist on a certified company.Tell your district it is a safety issue if they balk.

There are a lot of variables in a quote for drapery-- how many legs, borders, travelers--- sizes of each, configurations, etc-- will you be redesigning the masking set?  Lots of questions.  A good place to start though is to visit Rose Brand or IE Weiss web sites, create an account and list some materials for quote.  They are very helpful as well and can discuss a lot of the job with you.  Depending on your location, there might be a firm that will come out and bid the job for you as well.  Rose Brand might be able to direct you to a local contractor as well.

We just did our drapery set with some redesigns and it came in at right around 20K.
