I have mulled over the possibility of offering a stage makeup course in our high school for years now.  I love teaching it and the interest has grown over the past three years.  So my question is....Does anyone have a full curriculum already designed that I could submit to my counselor and principal for approval?  I have never tried to introduced a new course before and haven't a clue as to how to write it or what I should include in my submission.   I have some books on stage makeup, but if anyone who is currently teaching this course has a book they would recommend for the students to have with this course, I would really appreciate the suggestion.  Thanks for your help and I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Here's a good thread that might help:

    Special Effects Makeup/Lessons

You could search the Teaching Artist Directory for experts on makeup to consult or bring in to your school:
    https://www.schooltheatre.org/communitylanding/network/speakersearch

You might also have luck reaching out to local colleges and universities with theatre programs. These are some of the lessons I learned from my time at the University of Kentucky:

    -Basic stage makeup kit contents
    -Basic cleaning/hygiene techniques
    -Makeup removal
    -Matching skin tone
    -Conceal/correct, highlight/shadow/contour
    -Face shapes
    -Basic stage makeup
    -Old age stage makeup
    -Fantasy stage makeup
    -Bruises/cuts/scars

Additionally, these ideas have been mentioned in past threads:
    -Animal makeup
    -Blacklight makeup
    -Airbrush makeup
    -Flora/Fauna

We drew our design on paper first, then took a photo of the end result and listed the products and tools used to create the look. We were also required to "research" each technique by building a sort of collage of examples/articles for each assignment. We kept all of these documents in a binder and each assignment was graded individually. We ended up with a really nice reference book/portfolio at the end of class. As someone who never used makeup at all until college, the lessons were invaluable and I regularly use the information I learned. Plus, it was incredibly fun!

Almost surely the best stage makeup book ever printed was STAGE MAKEUP, by Richard Corson.  It's long out of print now, but 2nd hand copies are available thru Amazon.  And in going down thru their list it's the only book on the subject that gets all stars.  It's been my "bible" since waaay back in the '70's when I took a stage makeup class at the U. of Arizona, and yes . . . it was one of the most fun college classes I ever took!
