Hello! I'm currently working on creating contrasting monologues and I have a really good dramatic one that I'm trying to pair. I currently have selected the monologue from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead as my comedic one, but I've seen that one done before, so I'm looking into possible alternatives in the same style. Anything that includes death or contemplating death would be great!

I used to use a monologue by Harold from Harold and Maude. It has to be spliced together a little bit because it's partially a conversation, but Harold is talking about the first time he faked committing suicide.

Check out "Every Brilliant Thing" by Duncan Macmillan.  It's a one-man show by a character whose mother was suicidal.  Dramatists has the scripts and rights.
