We give the Rose Curtain Player of the Year award - the students vote on a junior or senior who they see as being the most dedicated and committed. It has nothing to do with acting skills. If time permits (for me) they are given a small engraved photo album with pictures from their four years in the program. If time does not permit, they are given an engraved box filled with notes.
I also will present two Outstanding Thespian awards if I feel we have the students who exemplify this honor. They receive a Thespian certificate in a frame.
I avoid trophies if I can, especially for the girls - instead I have items engraved - compacts, small mirrors, for a costuming award I once found a small silver, compact sized sewing kit. I've done key chains, dog tags, luggage tags, pens, decorative boxes, photo albums, even a silver tape measure for a techie, and when all else fails - plaques. Lucky me, the Trophy House is combined with a upper level boutique that carries all of these items.
For my seniors - I give them a certificate that lists every single show they were involved in over their time with us. I present them starting with first year seniors and culminate with the four years!
Best of luck! No matter what you give them, they will be proud and honored.

Subject: 4-year Senior Award Titles
I want to present Seniors with four years' theatre experience with a very special award, hopefully something that will be coveted by the underclassmen.
What do you call your four-year awards? What gift do you present? I already give medals and patches. We already do "gag awards" (the broken sword from Robin Hood, a headless horse for Sleepy Hollow...) The students don't want trophies, though I may resort to that for lack of a better idea.
