There's a recent great thread on teaching an Evolution of Musical Theater class, and I have a follow-up question.
Our school teaches 4 classes/week in 85-minute blocks. Do you think I could reasonably teach a wonderful Musical Theater class as a 5-week seminar with 4 85-minute classes each week? or would that be way too cramped?
Alternatively, can you think of other academic classes that might do well as a 5-week intensive?
I'm also teaching a 10-week Multicultural United States Theater class in the Fall semester, and a 10-week Shakespeare class in the spring semester. The 5-week intensive pairs up with those classes time-wise, but it doesn't have to relate content-wise ... or it could! Like, Shakespeare I for 5 weeks, and Shakespeare II for 10 weeks. or Theater and Social Change for 5 weeks, and Multicultural US Theater for 10 weeks.
Thanks!!!
