It should be 20 to 30 minutes or two 10-minute pieces. They rehearse it in class, which meets 3x a week, and then perform it at the end of the semester, as part of a larger Middle School Performing Arts Showcase that also features other performances.
Thanks!

Subject: Readers Theater Scripts for Middle School
I am looking for readers theater scripts to use with my large (20+ kids) middle school theater class. I have done a lot of the Aaron Shepard pieces in the past, incorporating them into units on American Tall Tales, and have also done some of my own adaptations of myths and short stories by Poe, Twain and O'Henry. However, I would like to do something new this year since many of the students who have worked with me in the past two years will be repeating the class. Ideally, I'm looking for scripts that have a modern, edgy feel to them, provide opportunity for movement and soundscapes created by the ensemble, and that also address issues such social media, bullying, tolerance, etc. A tall order to be sure, but I would appreciate any suggestions.
