Troupe Directors: We are calling all THESPIANS to help kick off the ETF virtual gala Theatre Alive! with student-created fan videos from across the Thespian Nation!
Thespian alum Laura Heywood (@BroadwayGirlNYC) is creating a special episode of her show “Broadway Fanatic” featuring Thespians! Submitted videos should demonstrate your love of theatre and be under 2 minutes. Create something new, or submit something you've done in the past year or two! We are looking for diversity of students and material.
EXTENDED Deadline is January 12th!
Examples of videos we're looking for:
- Broadway Fan Art (creations: food, artwork, found materials, etc.)
- DIY theatre costumes
- Theatre makeup tutorials
- Dancing! (to theatre songs, tap, ballet, modern, musical theatre)
- Backstage/Crew videos - prop descriptions, stage manager ASMR, funny "director" sketches
- Orchestra/musicians playing Broadway showtunes
- Funny Broadway-star impressions, "theatre kid" sketches, audience members
- Broadway/Pop music mashups (like Hamilton/Beyonce for example)
- Acapella versions of songs
- Parody songs (new lyrics to familiar Broadway show-tunes)
- Show & Tell - show us all the Broadway things in your room!
