Craig Zadan Memorial: Educational Theatre Foundation to Host Celebration, Launch Fund in His Honor
A memorial celebration of the life of producer Craig Zadan will be held November 11 and organized by the Educational Theatre Foundation, a group dedicated to supporting theater arts in schools. (Deadline Hollywood)
EdTA Awards 2018 National Conference Grants
The Educational Theatre Association has awarded four members with the EdTA National Conference Grant for Theatre Educators in support of professional development.
Calling All Thespians: Sing for Your Chance to See The Prom
The Educational Theatre Foundation is partnering with the upcoming Broadway musical to give one lucky recipient a trip to New York to see the show. (Playbill)
NATIONAL NEWS
Thalia Goldstein, Assistant Professor of Applied Development Psychology at George Mason University, is conducting research on the positive impact of theatre education on individual growth. The work is an effort to build knowledge and practice, not just theory and assumption. Researchers are searching for theatre educators at all levels and from any background to complete the survey. If you’re interested in volunteering to take the survey, please follow this link.
The opportunity is open to all theatre teachers from rookies to veterans. Thank you for your help with this important work!
