  • 1.  Scripts and Music available Royalty-free

    Hello all,

I'm looking for schools/theater companies that might be interested in performing two musicals for young audiences I've just finished listing on Teachers Pay Teachers and JW Pepper. They are appropriate for all ages (both performing and as audience), and after over 50 years in musical theater, I am thrilled to offer them royalty-free. They are The Magic Fish and The Frog Prince. The recording of the Frog Prince won the Early Childhood News Directors' Choice Award.

I hope some of you can use these gems. Thank you.

    Hello Jan!

Our middle school started a theatre club about a year and a half ago. We performed our 1st ever play in fall 2024. We are looking for children's theatre plays/musicals that we can perform for the elementary schools that feed into our middle school so that we can raise awareness about our middle school theatre program.

Our club is funded by community donors and so we are on a limited budget for our productions. Our students are highly motivated and would love to explore more children's theatre. Can we perhaps preview your work?  We would love to consider it for next school year's program!

See our website for more about our club: https://sites.google.com/grantspass.k12.or.us/sms-theatre-kids/home

I hope to talk with you soon!

A lot of theatre teachers who are just starting out like using Drama Notebook which provides royalty-free plays and drama activities for children and teens.  Here is the website:  https://www.dramanotebook.com/

    Hi Jael!
My name is Steve Flowers, I am a middle school music teacher in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. I saw your post about your theatre club, how awesome! It sounds like a wonderful program to offer your students.
I recently wrote a fun musical for my middle school students to perform, titled "Too Cool for Preschool". The musical takes place in a preschool, and it gives your sillier students a chance to act very goofy as preschoolers, while giving your more reserved students a chance to act as teachers or parents. My students and I had a blast performing this show, and the parents loved it too! It's one hour in length, and there are 10 songs. It's currently written for a cast of 33 speaking roles, but the roles are very flexible and the number can be easily lowered if needed.
I would be happy to send you a link to the script and music if you like to read through it with your club? And if you enjoy it and would like to use it for a production, I will gladly let you have everything for free. Feel free to reply to this post or email me at sflowers726@gmail.com.

    Happy New Year!
