    Rehearsal Schedule App Suggestions?

    I've never used one before, but with a projected mix of both in person and zoom rehearsals, I thought it might be worth looking into. The last post about this was in 2014, so I thought it would be worth asking again! Thanks in advance!

    I would suggest a dedicated app for rehearsals with color coding, I have used TimeTree  for this type of coordination.

    I’ve tried a few different apps and solutions and my favorite thus far, which happens to be FREE, is Band. It has an app for iOS and Google, as well as a web interface. Students can receive notifications through texts or email. As the administrator you don’t see any private information. Parents can easily join the group as well. You can post information to a group page, send group chats, post scheduled events, track attendance, post surveys, and all sorts of other things. They have a robust privacy policy that they provide to schools and you can show your administrators. Anyone else use Band? You can read more at www.band.us.

    We also use the Band App for communication with just the students. We do not allow parents on that app, but it works great for schedules, posting documents or links to a zoom meeting/rehearsal. We use the district web page to post the rehearsal calendar so that students and parents can see who's called when.

    I really recommend "Doodle" for rehearsal scheduling. It is simple to use, allows for the easy coordination of numerous schedules, and provides automatic reminders. It's a lifesaver for overworked teams!

    Using the Band App just for student communication is a wise decision. It simplifies scheduling and resource sharing while keeping parents engaged via the district website. Excellent planning!
