  • 1.  Mama Mia performance tracks accompaniment

    Hello - 

    We have the rights to produce Mama Mia in the spring and are planning auditions. We thought we'd be using live instrumentalists, but are going to need to pivot. Has anyone used the MTI performance recorded accompaniment? What was your experience? Positive aspects? Any challenges to prepare for?

    We performed Mamma Mia last spring, but didn't use the MTI tracks.  We used Right on Cue for our tracks since we had a credit with them from our cancelled 2019 musical, so they would be another option you could look at.  I really liked them because it allowed us to add in vamps, change the key of the song for one of our actors, and overall relatively user friendly.

    I've ;used them and with great success. They kids get used to the recordings really well and sometimes it is an easier adjustment for them to use the tracks than have live pit. It is a lot cheaper than a live pit as well.


    Break a leg and may all your theatre seats be filled.
