Hello!
We've selected Into the Woods Jr for our middle school musical. In looking at the number of students who participated last year, I felt this play had enough roles.
However, I work at a private school, our enrollment continues to grow and there are a lot of new students showing an interest in our theater program. A good problem to have. :o)
We don't cut students from the production; everyone receives a role.
I'm just curious how other teachers have handled a similar situation, how did you increase the cast list and still maintain the integrity of the script? What ideas do you have yo create an ensemble? I should mention we only perform the play twice so we don't double cast.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
