    Hello-

Looking for some ideas for female heavy murder mystery comedies.  I have a strong group of females that work well together comedically and I would like to stretch and support them.  Please throw me some suggestions.

We have a fun, quirky adaptation of Sherlock Holmes by Kate Hamill, called MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON - APT. 2B.   It's got a cast of 3 women and one man.  One of the women and the man, play multiple parts.  Here's the synopsis:

An irreverent, darkly comic, modern take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous sleuth and sidekick. This fast-paced romp re-examines the world's most famous detective story with a bold new feminist lens. In this highly theatrical, small-cast escapade, oddball female roommates Sherlock (yes, it's also a girl's name-wait, is it a girl's name? Is it even a name?) Holmes & Joan Watson join forces to emerge from pandemic fog as a deeply codependent, quasi-dysfunctional Odd Couple adventure duo-solving mysteries and kicking butts, until they come face to face with a villain who seems to have all of the answers.

The Alibis from Playscripts (several authors) is a fun choice. I wouldn't say it's female heavy, but most of the roles are not gender-specific, so it can accommodate a female heavy cast. The script is really flexible too. We're having a fun time with it.

In class we did some scene work from Too Many Detectives at the Murder Mansion by Ian McWethy and I thought it was a strong script all around with some nice female or non-binary casting options just to mention...
