I had a rehearsal last night with some of my fellow SAG-AFTRA LA branch Radio Players' actors who are presenting the workshop "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Presenting" on Friday morning Sept 30 @9:45 pm as a one time workshop. They are excited to teach and demonstrate techniques for guiding students into the world of radio plays as well as resources for free plays, tips for recording, etc. when I teach vocal work I use radio plays as a way to isolate students' voices for flexibility and richness. As part of the workshop we present live and virtual/recorded tips for Radio scripts.
The workshop presenters' collective years as performers total over 300 years of performances as SAG-AFTRA members. You may recognize some of the workshop presenters from their work on film, movie, tv and podcasters, audio book recorders.
Hope you are attending the conference; the EdTA staff plus CETA Board members have gathered such valuable experiences for all of us.
Has everyone seen the template EdTA is providing to convince your administrators to send you for your PD Theatre Education?
Hope this academic year is great for you and your students.
