Has anyone read or better yet performed "More Than Meets the Eye" by Fred Carmichael? Originally titled "The Geeen Snowman," it is a 1950s comedy that I found in my school's shelves of scripts. I've read it several times and find it pretty charming. The writing feels a lot like The Dick Van Dyke show or I Love Lucy, and the premise is pretty fun. Stanley is an author of the very successful and well-written 'Grandma Letty' book series, but he has hidden his identity because he is a little embarrassed they aren't serious grown up literature. He is working on his Great American Novel that he hopes will show his genius (though it is apparently terrible). So they maintain this secret. Meanwhile, the publisher and some magazine reporters crash the house demanding to meet Grandma Letty, and he is forced to play her in drag. You can imagine all of the hi-jinks that ensue.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever done it.
