    Hey All!
I'm looking for suggestions for our next musical. We did Annie as our first one in 36 years last spring. I have mostly ensemble kids but have 2-3 really great guys and a few girls who could pull off a lead possibly more of a character role. We are a pretty small school but I'm guessing I'll still have about 30 audition.

    Any suggestions are welcome!
     Thanks!

Depending on the vocal talents and ranges you might look at:

Aida: School Edition - loved doing this show
    Legally Blonde
    Cinderella
    Oklahoma
    Bye Bye Birdie

    Maybe Seussical?

I agree with the Seussical suggestion, but you do need a <g class="gr_ gr_43 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="43" data-gr-id="43">couple</g> strong female singers. There are lots of wonderful ensemble songs/scenes for sure.  We're a small school too, but I've done this show twice in the last 10 years. Our community just ate it up and came back multiple times to see it...which really helps with covering the cost.  :)  It's not a low-budget show, in my opinion.

"The Return to the Forbidden Planet" is a really fun juke box musical by Bob Carlson. It features music of the 60's and 70's set in a Fakespearean Science fiction setting. Easily doable with your numbers.
