  • 1.  RADIUM GIRLS Cross-Curricular Ideas

Happy almost Winter Break! I'm producing RADIUM GIRLS in the spring and we're hoping to have the playwright, D.W. Gregory, pay us a visit. I've reached out to the English and science teachers about possible cross-curricular opportunities, like a playwriting workshop and Q&A. Can you help me think of other ways to fully take advantage of her time with us? Thank you!

Radium Girls is such an excellent play for High School or College production, largely due to its inherent cross-curricular potential! I would weave in your history teachers as well! We did it several years ago and I asked science, history, and English teachers to act in the boardroom scene. It was fun to have faculty in the cast, and it engaged them with the play - generating conversations in their classes regarding the historical and scientific connections to the script.

As for D.W. Gregory's presence on campus! Wow! The Q&A itself seems invaluable!

Best of luck with the production! And your special guest.
