This course will give you the tools and techniques you need to stop second-guessing, relieve the endless pressure, achieve more in less time and feel better doing it. You will walk away with a renewed sense of purpose by developing and aligning your teacher and theatre program values; learn the latest cognitive-based strategies to manage the stress, frustration, and anxiety of theatre teacher life; discover productivity hacks and build organization systems specifically for theatre teachers. Hosted by MA Thespians, this is open to any theatre educator!

Classes: Held on Zoom 7/12, 7/13, 7/14, 7/19, 7/20 from 7:00-9:30pm EST. Must attend all classes to receive graduate credit.

About the Instructor Jessica Harms: I am an award-winning educator and director leading the student theatre program of over 200 students at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, where I teach students how to believe in themselves and go after the things that scare and excite them. My shows have won the state award for "Best Production," eight times and have been invited to perform at the International Thespian Festival five times. I am also a Pre-AP National Faculty member and theatre curriculum writer for the College Board. In 2014, I founded the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Association where I serve as state chapter director and am on a mission to help educators feel like rockstars in the classroom by providing professional development in theatrical expertise, mindset techniques, and inclusive pedagogical tools.
