Another good one is the Power Tool Institute, which has lots of material on safety education, including publications, videos, and lesson plans, as well as material on how to actually use the tools. You can visit their web site at www.powertoolinstitute.com.

Over the years, I've found that magazines and books on woodworking and cabinetmaking have taught me a lot more about actual construction practices than anything I ever saw about tech theatre and building scenery. I've listed a number of these on the Resources page of my blog (the link is below).

Hi Folks,

As a theatre teacher, one of the challenges we face is training on tools. We may know how to use a drill, or a circular saw, but in a worse case scenario, can we prove we know.
