  • 1.  Gatsby needs

    Has anyone done The Great Gatsby? We're in the midst of rehearsal, and my prop department has hit a couple dead ends.

    Looking for:
    1) The yellow car. I just need the front - and it can even be two dimensional! Hopefully something one person can carry, but I can work with that.
    2) Two period-looking folding chairs
    3) A pool float that could be accepted as 'period'

    Anyone have that stuff laying around, or have a lead on a prop house that might have them for rental/purchase? I'd appreciate any leads!

    Several years ago I designed a set that needed a 1980s fire truck inside a fire station. Rather than trying to build one, and since it never left the station and was only seen from the front, I went to a graphics house and had them print the front of a fire truck. It came as two self-stick panels and we applied them to plywood. From just a few feet away, it looked like the real thing.
