    Does anyone have a "Greased Lighting" car I can borrow or rent in the Detroit area?

    I realize it might be too far of a drive from Troy, but you should consider renting from Grand Rapids Civic Theater.  They have a very nice Greased Lightning car built over an electric golf cart.  Their scenic designer, David Len, is a good guy and quite reasonable on rental rates.  I have rented that particular car from him twice now, and the last time my "fee" was to replace the batteries for him.  (So, you should get it with nice new batteries, too!)

    Here's a pic with the car.  It was built so that the grill, both bumpers, and all 4 hubcaps are removable.  In this shot, the grill is not yet attached.  It also has working headlights and two doors that open and close.
