My students did a staged reading of Valdez' ZOOT SUIT last year...very impactful and high school appropriate. This is part of American history that only those who were really affected by the LAPD know about...but it explains a lot about what my LatinX students carry with them everyday. Lots of opportunities for music history, SFX, staging ,etc.
