HI Laurel & Brandy -- I'm new to posting but thought I'd jump in to suggest the
UNCSA Summer Intensive.Based in Winston-Salem, NC.
Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the film studies personally - my child attended junior & senior high school years at UNCSA for music.
My daughter stayed last summer as an RA & did mention that there were a lot of kids from the west coast flying in for the program.

Following! One of my students is also interested in this. It seems like a lot of them are in NY or LA, which their parent is not a fan of. I suggested this one as something to explore because it's closer to where we are, but I don't anyone who has attended:
Interlochen Motion Picture Arts Camp
I'd love to find some other options for them so they could compare.
