  • 1.  FX fire extinguisher

We are doing One Man, Two Guvnors and the script calls for a "working fire extinguisher" to be used on a cast member.  In the National Theatre production, they some sort of high expansion foam from a refillable water fire extinguisher.  It was about as thick as shaving foam or whipped cream.  Any ideas on what substance could be used?  I don't want to use chemicals (clearly) that would endanger or irritate skin/eyes, etc.

We thought about doing just water but that gets everything wet.   We thought about using the rechargeable prop extinguishers that shoot talc, but that gets everywhere and make the floor very slippery. The foam is much easier to clean up.

Any thoughts what we could use to make this work?  Any suggestions are helpful.
