Does anyone know where to buy or if a Jr version exists of Youre a Good Man Charlie Brown?

I do not know of a Jr. version, but Tams Witmark sells the rights to both the original and the revised edition and will also rent rehearsal and performance CD's.  Unfortunately, all materials have to be returned, so students do not get a copy of the script to keep (lose, destroy, etc....) and you have to make sure they are careful to only write lightly in pencil in them (then erase before returning, yada - yada - yada).

    Hi Jodie,

Holly is correct: Tams-Witmark licenses both the original and revised versions of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN and there is no specific youth edition of the show.

But CHARLIE BROWN is a rare title: you can actually license the show and create your own cut. The official language from the contract is this:

"You are not required to perform the entire show. You may, at your option, perform a choice of scenes from the show, provided the total running time of your performance(s), without intermission, is not less than forty-five (45) minutes. Under no circumstances may you add dialogue, music, or vocal material to the show."

So - if needed - you can craft a shorter, simpler version to accommodate your available rehearsal time and your actors' abilities.

Also, authorized performance and rehearsal tracks for YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN (Revised) are available from The MT Pit. Materials are rented, and we do require that you return them.

Check out the Tams and MTPit websites for more info. Hope it works out, and break a leg!

    Jim
