Happy New Year!

I have had several students ask me about learning dialects, and I'm looking at teaching a unit on it.

Any suggestions, warnings, pointers?

(I might actually start with dialect reduction. Here in the Deep South, the standard non-regional dialect is hard to find, and harder to train people in!)

I would look on line at Paul Meier's website: http://www.paulmeier.com/.. I have worked with Paul on many productions via Skype and he is an excellent dialect and accent coach. He has a wealth of information on his website as well as a variety of products that might be a good place to start.
