  • 1.  Strong Scene for 1M, 3F

    Hello All,

    Looking for a scene or cutting for competition. Can be up to 15 mins.  Needs to be 1M and 3F.  This group is made up of four very strong performers and this is their senior year.  Looking for something challenging to send them off with.

    In the past, we have done Emergency Protocol (dealt with aftermath of a school shooting), Stressed (a Reader's Theatre about 4 teens who are, well...stressed) and last year was "A Game", an absurd one-act about a psychological experiment that goes awry.

    If you would like to look at a comedy.... Try "Regina Flector wins the Science Fair"

    Great characters and you may be able to make it work....

    Five Kinds of Silence by Shelagh Stephenson is a strong and challenging competition piece regarding sexual abuse from a father and the silence that ensues. I believe it has 4F and runs 15 minutes, but could be cut to 3F.  There's also a 10-minute play called Fugue by Laura Elizabeth Miller worth looking into, which deals with a serial killer. Both require mature actors.
