    If anyone has done this show...
    Any tips or tricks for getting the grass hats to STAY on their heads and not move around??
    We bought pencil boxes but they slide all over the place!

    We produced Lion King, Jr. In 2017. Instead of hats as seen on Broadway, we made headbands using pipe cleaners in various shades of green. Best wishes on your production!

    We used file folders and raffia...
    cut the folder in half lengthwise, so it will wrap around a kid's head
    the kids decorated the band with Lion King-ish symbols
    fold the band in half, lengthwise
    glue the raffia half way down and fold the bottom half of the folder back on top of the raffia
    wrap around the kids head, and staple...

    We used large foam blocks and stuck silk grass in the top, They worked well and stayed on

    Hello,
    We did lion king last year and we used elastic headbands that we stitched pieces of a grass skirt to seemed to work well for the kids. Easy to put on and take off.
