    Job Listing: Dance Teacher (Full Time Position)

    For:  The Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts (WCSPA)

    An opening is available for the 2019-2020 school year at the Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts (in Sterling Heights, MI) for an experienced Dance teacher/Choreographer.  WCSPA is a theatre arts magnet program that draws its students from the three high schools (9-12th) in the Warren Consolidated School District. Classes are team taught and all of the staff work collaboratively on multiple performances and out of school activities.  The facilities, equipment, budgets are support from our school district here are awesome. This job does requires a significant commitment of time after school working with students and fellow staff members on productions.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Applicant holds a teacher certificate for grades 6-12 in any subject area OR has 4,000 hours of professional experience in dance and musical theatre choreography
    • Extensive training and experience in the areas of dance and musical theatre choreography

     

    Preferred requirements:

    • Experience or proficiency in area(s) of technical theatre, design, and/or production
