  • 1.  Literary Adaptation/Recruiting Play

I teach at a private school that hosts tours for our feeder schools' sixth grade classes. It's a great recruiting opportunity. I'd like for my upper classmen to perform an adaptation of one of the books our audience had for their summer reading. I'd love to make it interactive. Does anyone have a literary adaptation unit I could peruse? Or are you aware of an adaptation of one of the following books:
    The Cay, Theodore Taylor
Crispin: The Cross of Lead, Avi
    Liesl and Po, Lauren Oliver
A Wrinkle In Time, Madeline L'Engle
The Lightning Thief, Rick Riordan (or anything else he wrote)
    Wonder, R.J. Palacio
Boy of the Painted Cave, Justin Denzel
I'm open to other options too, if you know of scripts that would work well for this situation. Thanks, everyone!

Oregon Shakespeare Festival did an adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time  a couple of years ago.  You can find that version, and a few others, here - https://www.yourstagepartners.com/collections/a-wrinkle-in-time
