I have been asked to find a supplier for marking tape numbers --  cloth-back tape that has already been cut into the shape of numbers for the dance floor.

I have checked my usual suspects and have come up empty. Anyone aware of a vendor who sells something like this.

I have been told that they appeared at the most recent USITT conference but no one seems to know who the vendor was.

Please give me a shout if you know!

An easier option would be to find a parent who has a craft paper/vinyl cutting machine (Silhouette or a Cricut). Design and cut your numbers yourself, using whatever colored vinyl you choose.

A few years back, I made my own numbers for the front of our stage, using glow in the dark vinyl, then cut it out with a Silhouette Cameo machine. Works very well.

I have found a vendor who sells glow-tape numbers! That will work just fine.

Look at Brady, the monochromatic (White, Yellow, Black, Blue, Red, etc.) are pre-cut letters of several sizes (you have to drill down a bit to get to the size information).  Or the rectangular labels (which are easier to apply uniformly) are the two color types (Black on Yellow, etc.).

Bradys numbers and letters can be used to stick to and label tool cribs, bins, shelves, poles, panels, switches, equipment and more.

Another good use for these labels is for the stage rigging system:

    • Label each Take-up block, each counterweight carriage (Arbor), and each loft block with line set numbers.
    • Label each batten at the ends and middle (usually on the upstage lower quadrant of the batten) so you can identify them in the loft.
    • Label the floor directly under each end of the batten (helps people find the right place from the floor).
