    Is there a simple, inexpensive way to number theatre seats that doesn't involve the time consuming work of screwing down the plates? I thought that surely there must be number plates with adhesive backing but haven't found any. Thanks.

    3M VHB (Very High Bond) double-sided tape.  Also known as "Hurricane tape".  Clean the surface you are attaching to to degrease it, stick it down.  Done.  Just about as permanent as it gets.  Don't touch the face of the tape with your fingers! (true for any kind of tape!)

    We had someone with good handwriting label the seats with sharpie and used mail box letters (the reflective kind) to letter the rows.
