Looking for ideas to make the murder weapons in Clue, On Stage work. The script calls for the lead pipe and wrench to protrude from the actors' heads, and as such need to be realistic, quick-to-attach to the actors, and sturdy enough to not fall off while the 'corpses' are moved.

What has worked for your productions so far?

We didn't worry too much about the weapons staying attached.  We just bloodied up Body really well, covered the pipe in blood too. That way when he falls on Peacock the blood transfers, and the pipe is just left on. the floor. Audience loved it, nobody complained. They were more impressed with the falling chandeliers, and that was more important to us.

    Hi there,
Our Engineering class fabricated the weapons on their 3D printer. The results were lightweight, and after some artful painting, looked great.

Yes, I think the option with a 3D printer seems to be the best option. And fast production and there will definitely not be such a situation as with Alec Baldwin...
