  • 1.  Female Dramatic Monologue

    I am horrible at finding effective monologues for my students.  Anyone know of an outstanding female monologue 2-3 minutes long, preferably that can be enhanced with real tears? I have a super dramatic female in need of a great showcase piece for upcoming scholarship applications and such. She does best with child-20s age characters.  Thanks to all!

    There are some really strong monologues in And by Alan Haehnel and Voices In Conflict by Bonnie Dickinson. If she's up to it I'd look at And. There character Meredith deals with the subject of suicide. I also really like Tamora's speech in Titus

    Crimes of the Heart - the character Babe

    Last Days of Judas Iscariot - Henrietta (I think; it's the monologue of Judas' mother)
