I am now teaching a middle school theatre class.  This year I had a mix of 7th and 8th graders.  Next year there will be several 7th graders staying with me as 8th graders.  I need to alter the curriculum so they are not doing the exact same thing they did this year. I will be doing some things again but I need some fresh ideas. This year we did theatre games and improv, theatre vocabulary and watched several plays on video, Storytelling (from a text and an original story), duo-interp, Interp. Theatre, monologues (short, from a monologue text), basic voice and diction, basic tech, writing a 3-minute play from a fairy tale and performing it, creating a newscast, pantomime and making a silent film.
