  • 1.  Need a Motorcycle for the musical "Happy Days"

We are producing the new musical "Happy Days" in the spring, and are already searching for a light weight, older motorcycle for the Fonz. The bike is used in several scenes, and is actually a character, as the headlights have to come on during a discussion with the Fonz, and at the end of the play, save the Fonz from getting hurt.
Has anyone else produced this play, and how did you go about finding this item?
Then how did you get the headlights to work on cue?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions, I always find this forum very helpful.

For Footloose back in 2006 my tech director got us the front tire and handlebar assembly from some motorcycles from a junkyard.  The students could walk behind the motorcycles holding the handlebar and the "bikes" would roll on on their tire.  We put a huge boat style flashlight to replace the headlight and presto.  It was definitely a cheesy bit but got a great reaction from the audience when they came on.
    Good luck!
