    Just a quick reminder...

    We only have 40 minutes (I'm using a free account), so I'll cover how to log in to the free online version of SU, how to set up a free account, how to open the stage files, and how to navigate around them. That should take about 20 minutes, so we'll probably have time for questions. You may want to take a few notes or maybe even record the meeting for later reference if you know how.

    Several people have asked about this, so here's what I can do.

    Zoom requires a paid account to record to the cloud, but I'm using a free account. I can record it locally and upload to Dropbox later, but don't know how that would work as far as downloading and playing.

    Let's see how that works and we can go from there.

    As far as recording, in my experience, it works pretty well. Once the meeting is over, the video is processed and saved to your selected location (local hard drive in the case of free or basic accounts). Then you can do whatever you like with it. It saves a couple of different file types so there are options. I have recorded a couple of times and it worked pretty well. Last time I used that feature, I recorded our Theatre club meeting and then uploaded to a Google Drive folder (my school uses google drive a lot).

    I just wanted to publicly say THANK YOU, George! I've been too afraid and frustrated to learn and use SketchUp. Your beginner class was just what I needed and will get me started in using it successfully. Thank you for giving of your time and skills.

    I did record it, but want to trim a bit off both ends to make the file a little more manageable. Right now it's ginormous. Hoping to upload it over the weekend or soon after.
