Hi Donna,
I'm working on Radium Girls now and looked at both before choosing. Here are a couple quick things:
Radium Girls happened first in the real timeline of events. RG also features many more characters and works pretty well with a large ensemble.
Shining Lives, I think, is a bit better written. The main character feels stronger. It only features a few characters, six maybe?
RG takes place in New Jersey in the 20s.
SL is Chicago in the 30s.
