We're doing Smile this year and wondering if anyone has 20 evening gowns for rent or purchase?

Talk to local bridal shops. The bridesmaids dresses regularly change over and can't be ordered any more. They generally have sample dresses and may donate if you explain what you need. Give them a nice program ad too. When we did the show a million years ago we did four costume looks, a pink smile t shirt and shorts, which we handed them in a "welcome bag" in the introduction number, a leotard and short circle skirt which they wore for the "dress rehearsal" and gowns for the "show" . Over the first act kids changed gradually so that it suggested passing time. I bought short slickers and umbrellas for one of the numbers too, though now I can't imagine why! Have fun. It is a show that certainly features lots of girls! ------------------------------ Maggie Ward Columbia MD ------------------------------
