We are trying to plan for our musical in the spring. We are looking for something that has some (or all) of the following requirements:

Small(er) Cast: We have more guys than girls (for once!) so we are look at 10-15 or less.
Set: Easy to minimal. We can handle more, we just aren't sure if we want to this time.
Music: We have a good set of singers, just need the right music.
Dance: We have a choreographer, but we would like to keep it simple.

Our last few musicals were - Rapunzel, Grease, Light in the Piazza, Suessical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.

    Any suggestions would be welcome!

Hello! What about the show Edges? It's a different style of musical compared to the ones you have done in the past and the cast is fairly small (4-15 people like you said) I am a student at Marshall University and we did the show last year in a workshop setting. It's a show that can have a very simplistic set design. All we used were a couple chairs! It's also a set that you can upgrade if you'd prefer. The music isn't extremely difficult but it really does do a great job of showing off what singers can do. Just a suggestion! I hope you find the perfect show!

Small heavily male cast. Assassins. It's the best! Less then 20 people and 5 females tops. ------------------------------------------- Bryan Ringsted San Jose CA -------------------------------------------

Take a look at Sympathy Jones The New Secret Agent Musical from Playscripts. It can done with as few as 10 students and has great roles for 4 men and 4 women and a small ensemble that take on various roles. It's got a little bit of everything, but can be done as simply or extravagantly as you wish. It is lots of fun. You can find out more about it by visiting the website. www.sympathyjones.com
