By Stephen Adly Giurgis. Has anyone ever produced this at their school? I'm working on getting approval and I'm wondering how that has gone for others...

Yes, I cut it to a one act for competition.  It worked well.

Great play. I know a lot of colleges do it.  Would you cut the language, or is your school okay with that? I am eager to hear if you get approval.

I work at a private Catholic high school.  We have produced this play twice.  Our Theology department likes it so much that they have asked us to produce it on an annual basis.  Which I have declined to do.  There were mixed reviews from the audience.  The language is quite harsh and many of our patrons found it offensive while others found it inspiring.  Our Principle supported our position that theatre is meant to inspire thoughtful reflection of the issues presented.  That said... I put a PG 15 rating on the show and asked that families not bring their younger siblings.
