We have a set stage managers box for every show. It contains:
duct tape (of course)
mic tape
batteries (both for mics and for flashlights/lamps)
tampons
hairnets
bobby pins
brush/comb
safety pins
needle/thread/scissors
a copy of the script for the production
his/her prompt book
emergency chocolate
water
first aid
baby wipes
pencils
tissues
In rehearsals they are expected to have
their scripts (it's amazing how many forget that little item...)
a pencil
water
comfortable clothes
in performance they are expected to have
make up kit
clothes for under their costume
anything for their hair
water
sanity... (that comes and goes) :)
any small props or costume pieces they were assigned, or volunteered, to provide
shoes
baby wipes
